Ranking guide

How to use this Pokemon starter evolution tier list maker

Judge each species on its own design and role in the evolution line, then compare how well every starter progresses from its first form to its final form.

  1. 01

Rank base, middle, and final species separately so a strong final evolution does not automatically carry its whole line.

  2. 02

Use generation filters to compare the nine species introduced together before widening the ranking to all eras.

  3. 03

Recheck complete evolution lines for visual progression, memorable personality, and consistency across all three stages.

Pokemon Starter Evolutions tier list criteria that keep the board consistent

  • Design progression across the full line
  • How memorable each species feels on its own
  • Personal attachment rather than one competitive ruleset

Roster freshness

Current through released Generation 9 evolutions

This template covers all 81 standard starter species released across Generations 1-9. The official Pokemon Winds and Waves site has announced Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua for 2027, but no Gen 10 evolution line enters this released roster before launch and asset review.

How versioned Pokemon Starter Evolutions links stay readable

This page uses template revision 1. Built-in items have stable IDs, so a share or challenge link can restore their tier positions without embedding image files. If a future released roster changes, it receives a new revision instead of silently changing an older link.

Pokemon starter evolution tier list maker FAQ

How many Pokemon are included?

There are 81 species: nine generations, three core starter lines per generation, and three stages per line.

Does this include regional evolutions?

No. The collection intentionally uses the standard species forms so its scope remains exact and verifiable.

Can I filter one generation?

Yes. Generation filters affect the unranked image bank while ranked items stay visible.

Why are Gen 10 evolution lines not included?

Only Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua have been announced for Pokemon Winds and Waves in 2027. Their complete evolution lines are not part of the released Gen 1-9 roster used by this page.
