Ranking guide

How to use this pokemon gen 7 tier list maker

Alola introduced only 88 new species but changed what a Pokemon roster could contain. It brought regional variants, the Ultra Beasts and the island guardians — three groups that follow completely different design logics from each other. Ranking Gen 7 means holding three incompatible aesthetics on the same board and deciding which one you actually reward.

  1. 01

Rank the Ultra Beasts as their own bloc first; they are deliberately unlike everything else, and where you put them sets the tone for the whole board.

  2. 02

Place the four island guardians next, then check whether you are rewarding them for design or for narrative importance.

  3. 03

Finish with the ordinary Alolan lines, and confirm they are not being crowded out of the top tiers by the two louder groups above.

Pokemon Gen 7 tier list criteria that keep the board consistent

  • How well the species commits to whichever Alolan design logic it belongs to
  • Whether strangeness is being rewarded on its own or only when it works
  • Fit with Alola's island setting rather than generic tropical styling

How versioned Pokemon Gen 7 links stay readable

This page uses template revision 2775372411. Built-in items have stable IDs, so a share or challenge link can restore their tier positions without embedding image files. If a future released roster changes, it receives a new revision instead of silently changing an older link.

Pokemon gen 7 tier list maker FAQ

How many items are in this Pokemon Gen 7 tier list?

The published roster contains 88 image-backed Pokemon, each included exactly once.

Are Alolan forms of older Pokemon included?

No. Regional variants such as Alolan Raichu are alternate forms of species that debuted in earlier generations. This roster is the 88 species that are new to Generation 7 by National Dex number.

Are the Ultra Beasts in the roster?

Yes. All Ultra Beasts introduced in Generation 7 are included and appear in the same image bank as every other species.

Can I start the Pokemon Gen 7 board blank?

Yes. Every built-in template opens with empty tiers, so none of the 88 Pokemon are pre-placed. Your draft stays in this browser using local storage.

Can I challenge a friend?

Yes. Rank a few items, copy the challenge link, and your friend can make an independent board before the result is revealed.
