Tier list drafts stored in this browser
Personal tier boards, custom text, compressed image uploads, Daily progress, and challenge drafts use browser localStorage. The application does not upload this data or create a server-side profile. Clearing site data removes it.
Tier list share links for built-in items
Built-in templates can encode the template ID, template version, tier definitions, and item positions in a URL fragment. The link does not contain image files or account data. A challenge fragment contains the owner's built-in board so a second browser can compare both rankings after the friend finishes.
Custom images shared as PNG or file
Uploaded images do not enter a share URL. They travel only when you download a PNG or export a .tierlist.json file. Do not add sensitive images or text to a board you plan to send to someone else.
Anonymous pageview analytics
Production pages load a Plausible-compatible analytics script from https://click.pageview.click/js/script.js for the site domain tiermakerlist.com. A pageview request can include the event name, current page URL, site domain, referrer, and basic browser or request information needed to process the event.
The analytics script does not set an analytics cookie. Tier list contents, tier positions, uploaded images, local drafts, and challenge answers are not attached to pageview events.

Maker usage events
Alongside the pageview, the Maker reports seven coarse events so we can tell a visitor who ranked a full board from one who left immediately: Board started, Board finished, PNG exported, Share link copied, Challenge created, Board file exported, and Reference loaded. Each carries only the template slug and whether that template's images are cleared for export.
No board contents, item placements, tier names, uploaded images, or personal identifiers are sent. Board started is reported once per page load rather than per item moved.
Set localStorage.plausible_ignore = "true" for this site to stop analytics requests in that browser. Remove the value to enable pageview measurement again.
Chrome extension data and permissions
The Tier List Maker Chrome extension keeps user-provided text, compressed images, and one bounded draft in the extension page's local browser storage. It does not send board contents or images to tiermakerlist.com. The extension does not request Chrome storage, tabs, host, or background permissions.

Changes that would require a new policy
Public user content, accounts, or server-side storage would require this page to be updated before collection starts. Public content would also require moderation, deletion handling, and a separate retention policy.
