Ranking guide
Fast food is the most democratic tier list subject there is — everyone has eaten enough of it to have a real opinion, and almost nobody agrees. The reason boards diverge so sharply is that people are quietly answering different questions: some rank the chain, some rank its single best item, and some are ranking a version of the chain they last visited a decade ago.
Decide whether you are ranking the whole menu or the one thing the chain does best. A place with a single outstanding item and nothing else moves several tiers depending on that choice.
Separate what you can actually get from what you have heard about. Regional chains are the biggest source of dishonest fast food boards — see the FAQ below before ranking one you have never eaten at.
Do a final pass on price. Fast food is judged on value more than any other ranking subject here, and a chain that was a bargain five years ago may not be one now.
Roster freshness
The roster was checked on 2026-07-28 against the cited Wikimedia Commons public domain logo records. New releases or source changes stay out of the page until the collection is regenerated and reviewed.
Wikimedia Commons public domain logo recordsThis page uses template revision 3760338493. Built-in items have stable IDs, so a share or challenge link can restore their tier positions without embedding image files. If a future released roster changes, it receives a new revision instead of silently changing an older link.
The published roster contains 21 image-backed chains, each included exactly once.
Every logo on this page is public domain and hosted on Wikimedia Commons, which is what lets the images appear in your PNG export. Those chains' logos are hosted on English Wikipedia under a non-free fair-use rationale instead, so they are excluded rather than shown under weaker terms. The declared scope lists all twelve chains left out for this reason.
Leave it unranked. In-N-Out, Whataburger, Culver's and Krystal are regional, and a board that places them on reputation rather than experience is really ranking their internet reputation. An honest fast food board usually has a few unranked tiles.
The logos are in the public domain for copyright purposes, which is why they can be exported. They remain registered trademarks of their owners, and this page uses them only to identify the chain being ranked. Tier Maker List is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any chain listed here.
Yes. Every built-in template opens with empty tiers, so none of the 21 chains are pre-placed. Your draft stays in this browser using local storage.
Yes. Rank a few items, copy the challenge link, and your friend can make an independent board before the result is revealed.
