Sinnoh is the generation with the strongest dependency on other generations. A large part of its 107 species are evolutions and pre-evolutions bolted onto Kanto, Johto and Hoenn families — Electivire, Magmortar, Togekiss, Rhyperior, Lickilicky, Weavile — which means a Gen 4 board is partly a referendum on whether those additions improved the lines they extended.
01
Split the roster mentally into native Sinnoh lines and cross-generation additions before you place anything, because the two groups deserve different questions.
02
For each cross-generation evolution, ask whether it made the original species better or just louder; that single question resolves most of the middle tiers.
03
Finish with the Sinnoh mythology block — Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, the lake trio and Arceus — where design ambition and personal taste diverge most sharply.

Roster freshness
All 107 Sinnoh species, checked against the National Dex
The roster was checked on 2026-07-28 against the cited PokeAPI species and pinned official-artwork source. New releases or source changes stay out of the page until the collection is regenerated and reviewed.
This page uses template revision 1445488248. Built-in items have stable IDs, so a share or challenge link can restore their tier positions without embedding image files. If a future released roster changes, it receives a new revision instead of silently changing an older link.

Pokemon gen 4 tier list maker FAQ
How many items are in this Pokemon Gen 4 tier list?
The published roster contains 107 image-backed Pokemon, each included exactly once.
Why are Pokemon like Electivire in Gen 4 and not Gen 1?
The roster follows National Dex numbering. Electivire debuted in Generation 4, so it belongs here; Electabuzz debuted in Generation 1 and lives in the Gen 1 template.
Are Giratina's Origin Forme and other alternate forms included?
No. Alternate formes are excluded across all generation templates. Giratina appears once, as a single species entry.
Can I start the Pokemon Gen 4 board blank?
Yes. Every built-in template opens with empty tiers, so none of the 107 Pokemon are pre-placed. Your draft stays in this browser using local storage.
Can I challenge a friend?
Yes. Rank a few items, copy the challenge link, and your friend can make an independent board before the result is revealed.
